Excel Memory Leaks

Memory leaks can occur when you are manipulating Excel Workbooks from a Visual Basic application. If code containing Excel memory leaks executes enough times, the Visual Basic application will eventually fail.

Other than application failure, the most obvious symptom is the failure of the underlying Excel task to go away when the Quit command is issued from Visual Basic. Excel won't quit when told to because there are objects which have been allocated to the Excel task that were never released.
